Guest guest
Hi guys just a question I am going to the sleep and eating clinic with Liam on Monday and I am told that they will supply all the equipment for babies. That includes prams, beds, bed linin, plates, spoons, bibs, etc....... I think that with Liams case having CF it warrents a different approach, what do you think. I want to take my own pram, and portacot (fold out baby bed). They also provide food but Liam only eats organic food and fortified with all sorts from me LOL. I just made up a heap of organic baby food last night with the things that I had in, eg flax and olive oil etc. I want to take my own stuff do you think this is unreasonable??? a very very sleep deprived mum but I guess you all have been there!! Was up every 2 hours last night, cannot wait for Monday to come.
Guest guest
I think you are totally reasonable. He is your baby. Can't see how your request to do their work for them would be denied. Guest guest
, I do not think it is at all unreasonable to bring your own stuff with you. Your child has special dietary needs and you need to meet them. Whenever has a hospital stay I bring baby food from home (we use peaches to administer her enzymes) because the hospital used a different brand that she didn't like. About the port-a-crib and stroller, I would do the same, who knows what sick kid has been sleeping in or using the ones at the sleep clinic. If anyone says a word about it I would just say that because of his needs in terms of being bacteria free and his special dietary requirements you must use your own things from home. I don't think anyone will care, they won't have to use up their supplies on you and the cost of food is probably included in the per night cost, so they'll be making a bit extra off of you. Good luck, and good sleeping. Guest guest
, We have never been to a sleep clinic but had numerous admissions. We always took Eilish's own pram, and her's was a big one. We also took her own puree as she didn't like the hospitals, although I did!! Even now we take her own pillow, quilt, bicycle, dolls. Well you can imagine how jammed her room is, but for two weeks we need supplies. They are good about it. I also take in bags of snacks I now she will want but cannot get from the hsp. I know other cf parents who take in their own portacot, mainly because the hospitals one rattle all night and you dont get any sleep.
