Hello Marcellinus,

I am replying through the message board. Nobody can say exactly how

pancreatitis will dvelop; it is different for everyone. You

obviously have already consulted doctors who have prescribed Creon.

You need to keep contact with these doctors. Again, whether or not

you can continue with your studies, or carry out your duties as a

priest, depends on the course of your particular case. I would

certainly try to continue while you can. Many people have successful

careers even with pancreatitis. Others have more problems. How you

get enzymes or other medication and how you access funds for medical

needs, depends on the medical insurance system in the country you

live in. I know you are from Nigeria but I don't know where you

live. If I were you I would consult with your bishop or the director

of the seminary or college where you are studying. I hope there will

be someone to advise you. I do wish you the very best with your

health and with your studies. I know from personal experience just

how disheartening this illness can sometimes be. God bless you.
