Guest guest
I post this about once a year, just so the new members get the other end of the range of possibilities with cf. I am 65; my oldest, a cf carrier, is now 41; my middle one, also a cf carrier, is now 39; the youngest, wcf is now 36. We are all surviving and are not total invalids. And yesm we do have so-called " classic " cf. Now this may not be true in many of our families or clans, but it is in ours; the only persons wcf whom we have definite knowledge of have lived into their mid-seventies, with the exce ption of three deaths in the early teens and one idiot who drank himself to death (dumb!). But if we could really know about our past generations of families, we might be amazed not so much at the number who died, most likely of cf, but the number who survived, inclu ding carriers with some symptoms and signs of the disease. You get the picture--I hope! Love to all at cfparents, n Rojas, wcf, whose non-cf children are carriers because I have cf which increases the liklihood with each pregnancy from 1 in 4 to: 1 in 2! We did not know that back in the Merovingian Period of my youth!
