Guest guest
Hi Donna: I just read your story of recovery. Thank you for sharing it. I have been in recovery for 20 years now. These last two years have definitely not been the highlight of my recovery story, but an important part that hopefully will be of some use to someone else. The hardest thing for me has always been surrendering. And I have fought surrendering to cp. I have tried many ways to get around accepting my limitations. Unfortunately, my will has not helped me in this situation. I want my life back, at 20 years of sobriety, I had worked really hard to find true happiness, contentment, and spirituality. I sometimes feel like I have taken 20 steps back. But I have found some help, I have returned to God (even though I am still kind of pissed at him for not taking this from me) and I have had to return to the basics of one day at a time, and thy will not mine be done! I hope the whipple surgery brings you pain relief. Please feel free to e-mail if you ever need to talk. (robin.cox@...) Hugs...Robin Robin R.
