Guest guest Posted September 13, 2003 Report Share Posted September 13, 2003 Hello Patti, I am on Creon 40,000 and can take up tp 4 with each meal depending on size of meal, amount of fat etc. I take them before and during the meal. I have to take them with snacks as well, adjusting the amounts. Although I find they help tremendously with bowel movements, I still get from time to time the problems you're talking about! They also seem to make no difference to the attacks of upper- abdominal pain which, for me (aged 57, had first attack of pain aged 5), are getting more and more frequent, every week, sometimes almost daily. Does anyone else find this? Perhaps you could ask to be put back on Creon if it helped you more, or were there specific reasons given for changing your enzyme med? I know that different types are supposed to help with different cases and different types of pancreatitis so you'd need to check. Good luck and you have my sympathy and fellow-feeling!
