Guest guest
Just wanted to wish Mark a speedy recovery from recent attack and thank him and the PAI for what it's given me over last few weeks/months. It's wonderful to be able to access reliable info quickly and to share experiences. Tony, the British PAI rep, has been a fantastic support since my diagnosis and has really helped over the last few days when I've had to take time off work and have stronger painkillers prescribed while I wait to discuss further the option of the total pancreatectomy. He has been so kind and so sensible in his advice. I don't know how I would have managed without the PAI! Thank you! Here in Liverpool they haven't found one of the four most common gene mutations for hereditary pancreatitis in my blood sample. They were surprised as they expected to do so. Now my samples have to be further tested, some at Pittsburgh Univ! I don't get a free trip to USA, though! They only need my blood. Though I might get to see some of you when I was first told! Have a good day! Fliss (Felicity Brown)
