Guest guest
I have taken both of those medications for years, and dont believe the tablets themselves cause weight gain, but due to the fact you feel better, you eat more. That is what I was told by my Dr. when I first started taking them. You will notice dry mouth, and in the beginning it can really be bad. I have taken it so long, I guess I am either used to it or immune to it. Other than the dry mouth and sleepiness, I have not had any side effects. And would hate to have to stop taking them. Every medication that I am on causes drowsiness, so I could sleep a good 12 hours a nite if I allowed myself to do so. It is a matter of your body getting used to the medication and when to take it. I take the elevil early in the evening, that way, I have less side effects of being sleepy in the morning. Not sure if this helps you, but that has been my experience with them.
