Dear Marisa,

It was good to hear from you after such a long while, I was

wondering why you were so silent these recent months. With all

the stresses going on in your life, it's understandable why you

haven't felt up to posting. I'm so sorry to hear about the death of

your future brother-in-law. Even though he was in bad shape for

quite a long time, it doesn't make the loss any easier.

I was also diagnosed with hypothyriodism when I had testing

done after my diabetes diagnosis. My Endo wanted to wait until

my blood glucose levels had a few months of control to see if

that may straighten out the thyroid problem, but unfortunately, it

didn't, and my score was 11.9 when tested in July, so I started on

Synthroid then. Taking the synthroid has controlled the severe

hair loss I'd been experiencing, but doesn't seem to have helped

enough with the chronic fatigue. I've heard that it can take a few

months before real improvement is felt, so I'm hoping that I see

some soon. Otherwise I guess the dosage will need to be

adjusted. I still tire very easily and have to nap nearly every day.

Have you seen any improvement in your fatigue situation yet?

What dosage are you on? I realize the dosage must be based

on the person's degree of thyroid over/under production and their

weight, but I'm just curious to know what someone else is

taking. I was hoping for more improvement than what I've felt so

far!

It's a good thing you did go and find out about these problems.

Hopefully you'll see some significant improvement soon.
