Guest guest
Donna, have you checked out the Hopkin's gi website? Here's the link to the exact page you need. It's the Biochemical Measurements section of the Diagosis portion of their Chronic Pancreatitis section. The very first sentence is the one you are looking for. It states that you can have normal or below normal enzyme levels with chronic pancreatitis. http://www.hopkins-gi.org/pages/latin/templates/index.cfm?pg=disease3 & organ=4 & di\ sease=24 & lang_id=1 & pagetype=10 & pagenum=254 It's a long URL and if it doesn't bring up the page, copy and past the whole thing into your web browser. Sometimes if the page wraps, it doesn't bring up the piece that ends up on the second line so you have to make sure the whole URL is there. Hopkins is a very prominent hospital and thier website on chronic pancreatitis is very informative and even has drawings and photos from ERCPs and such on it.
