Guest guest
Hello, one of my dear friends who has a child with CF, found out this past week that ehr son's port was infected with acid-fast bacilli. They removed the port yesterday, and did a nother extensive test on him. I have dug up a little bit of info, but can't seem to find anything on just how this would get into his bloodstream and be so centered at hie port-a-cath site. Does anyone have any info on this that I could pass on to her? Thank you in advance, Amber Nick's mom P.S. We had our Annual CF Parent Education Day here at CHOC, and I enjoyed meeting Grandma Bev and Lois! What a couple of gems those two ladies are! I also had the pleasure of listening to Weiss' story of her 3 boys with CF, one of which cined the " 65 Roses " phrase.
