Hey there,

I just wanted to share my experience in regards to the symposium this

year. I feel very honored at being able to share with so many my experiences

with this beast and the journey my family and I have been on since my son

Brandan

was diagnosed with this horrific illness. I have never felt so much love,

compassion, and understanding as I did the two days I was in Indianapolis.

Finally putting faces with names, I felt as if I have known everyone who touched

my life those two days all my life. There was many tears, laughs, hugs,

smiles, and at times just that special glance. The courage the many who suffer

with

this illness demonstrate, along with thier caregivers goes beyond heroic.

There is a song called " THE WIND BENEATH MY WINGS " YOU all are certainly that

and more. Karyn you truly are my hero.

I can only hope to give back a little of what I have recieved as the

years go on. It is because of you and the many of the PAI that my son Brandan

was given his second chance at as normal a life that one can have battling a

disease so horribly painful, and so unknown as PAINcreatitis. I will always be

eternally grateful.

I learned a great deal from attending this years symposium and had

alot of questions answered that I did not know the answers too. It was amazing

to me that I got to speak with Dr. Sutherland personally a year to the day

Brandan was released from the hospital in MN, He truly is as I have said before

an

" ANGEL. " Karyn, Tull and all those who made this years symposium possible

" THANK YOU " from the bottom of my heart. I will remember you always, and I am

already looking forward to next years symposium.

As always keeping you and yours in our thoughts and prayers....Keep

smiling(cuz sometimes its all one can do!) TTFN (TATA FOR NOW)...: )
