ERCP on Friday

If everything is still on schedule, I am having my ERCP /

manometry on Friday morning.

What can I expect? That is, if no complications occur during the

procedure, will I be sore anyways (will the sphincterotomy cause

soreness; the manometry?). If complications do occur, how

soon will I know it? (right away, hours, days?)

What questions should I ask the doctor / nurse before they do

the procedure?

If the procedure starts at 10:00 will I be " with it " by 4:00? (I am

going under general anesthesia).

Anything I should do to prepare myself for this? (I am not taking

aspirin, NPO after midnight, etc, but is there anything else?)

I am a little aprehensive.

Has anyone had this done and made it through without

complications?

Sandy,

I just wanted to welcome you to the group, since I haven't seen you post

before. I hope you find this group as caring and informative and

supportive as I have and look forward to hearing more from you.

If you don't mind my asking, where do you live? Do you have Chronic

Pancreatitis or Acute Pancreatitis? Do they know what from?

Sorry for the barrage of questions, just interested in meeting a new friend.
