Guest guest
I went to the surgeon yesterday, at the recommendation of the doctor who did the ERCP. He had reviewed my records, and basically wondered what I was doing looking to have surgery for such a minor case of pancreatitis. He said I should get off all the medications I am on, or at least as many of them as possible. And then that was followed up by his nurse practitioner advising me to maybe try acupuncture or massage. I definitely would not even want a surgeon like this operating on me, even if it was an option. And like I would choose to be having surgery. Especially knowing how sensitive my pancreas is, and they said recovery time from the puestow or Whipple is around 8 weeks, with 6-12 months before you even feel close to like yourself. I know there are alot of good doctors out there, and then there are others who think they are like God. He suggested before he make a final determination that I have an MRCP, and he'll see for himself how bad the stricture is. Anyway, it kind of pissed me off the way he handled it. He must have such a nice nurse practitioner because he is such an as....... Thanks for listening. Robin R. Sr. Production Planning Specialist * (ext. 102) * (fax) robin.cox@...
