Hi All !! Rebekah saw her cf Dr yesterday for yearly physical.Drum Roll

Please she is now 42 " and 40-1/2 pounds she gained 1-1/2 pounds and grew

2''.She has stayed at the 5th percentile for 3 years slow and steady thats my

turtle girl!! Her Dr looked at me and said it looks like she will be 5'1 and

he smiled and asked the obvious how tall are you I am 5'1-3/4 " I am a short

small (Dr's call petite in kids) full grown woman .So it looks like she will

take after Mom not Dad (he is 6'1) we are all pleased by her growth spurt

since Christmas she has grown so fast.Rebekah likes to eat Scandishakes

dry(UGH!) so I just add 2 ozs.of half & half to 5 ozs.of milk and it has worked

maybe if I add heavy cream she will gain more faster. A little update our 16

year old has been a run away lately so I had a PINS petition signed for her

the day before court she ran away .The judge sent her to a detention group

home for 14 days.She goes to court on April 2 to see if she has to stay there

for a year or if she can come home.April 3rd is the day I met my husband in

1979 it is also the day the doctor confirmed what we already knew Rebekah had

cf that was 6 years ago.I am considering the pro's and cons of her going to

school .The issues are this is a small community (ie school nurse part time)

Illiterate,uneducated,inbred (I am not joking everyone is kin to everyone

else) I know the graduating class was less than 200. The school has air

quality issues as I found out with my 8 year old she had 2 years of terrible

headaches and dark circles under her eyes coughing stuffed nose, she is now

in a different area of the school and has no problems. Our bankruptcy is

final we are now bankrupt.The house is going to be auctioned April 10th.I

have had no voice for 3 weeks my kids are taking advantage of it terribly

too! I am going to call Make a Wish back now that we have the mono bug under

control . I am soo glad we didn't bring those people into that nightmare we

had .Well we go back to clinic next month to see how the cultures were and do

x-rays we got to skip yesterday.Rebekah is so silly she has this belly laugh

I wish you all could hear she is playing with her little brother(he weighs 44

pounds and is 40in. he will be 4 in May) running back and forth and laughing

I'm so happy for you and Rebekah. I love to hear about great clinic visits.

Our next one is in April and we are hoping for another weight gain! I hope all

turns out well with your 16 year old. Is there a chance of you home schooling

Rebekah? If not look into the 504 and IEP posts. Good luck!

I am so glad to hear Rebekah had such a wonderful check-up!! )

Yah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! About the school stuff, I know exactly where you are

coming from. And in the end we decided to homeschool , we are almost

thru with his kindergarten year. he is loving it --and so am I. We work at

his pace, it is very easy to work around dr appts, when he is sick he doesn't

get behind, he eats and drinks when he is hungry/thirsty, and the list goes on

and on......... If you need any info on hs I would be happy to answer and

questions you have. )
