States are allowed to designate their 504 plans as an integrated plan

including federal and state policies with regard to the handicapped and

the disabled and chronicly ill. That is what New York has done with its;

in New York, the designation is OHI; in most states it is still called a

504 plan or a 504-compliant plan.

I hope this helps; we just went through this with one of my grandkids!
