To any of you who come to this site often, you already know the story

of my daughter, . I have been cleaning house today and as I was

cleaning, all that was going thru my mind was her. I have been

trying to get her to go to the symposium next week to hear

Dr.Sutherland and to meet some of you nice people also. Time is

running out and as of yet, I have not gotten a yes from her. My

thinking at this time is that she is thinking that I am interfering

in her life and is rejecting the idea because I am the one who

brought it up to start with. This is not my intent and I would never

tell her what to do or what decision to make concerning the

transplant, but now time is almost up and what more can I do to get

her to go there? That is what keeps going thru my mind. And believe

me it is hard for me to ask for help unless it is where my kids are

involved. I am asking any of you that will to please write a

letter thru my email address telling her your feeling on attending

this meeting and what you have been thru and hope to gain by

attending it. I do understand that all of you effected by CP have a

lot on your own minds and are in great pain most of the time. And

truly, I will understand if none of you respond to this, but as I was

working around the house today, this idea came to me, and it wont let

go of me, so I had to ask it of you. I thank each of you for

listening to me in the past and thank any of you in advance that

feels like writing to . My thoughts are with each of you as I

I wanted you to know that Karyn and Tull will be making a video of the

conference available sometime after the Symposium occurs and that even

if you can't get your daughter to go, maybe you could get a copy of the

tape for her to view when she is more amenable to doing so (if that

occurs, which I hope it will). Just wanted to let you know that even if

you can't attend in person, you can get some benefit from viewing the

video. I believe that copies of the handouts will also be available with

the video. The cost will be for the cost of the materials. You can also

get videos of the tapes of the past symposiums as well if you want,

though I don't think Karyn and Tull had time to actually process the

video material from last year's, but the videos from the first two

Symposiums are available through Karyn or Tull ( karynwms@... and

tull@...). This year's is the fourth annual Symposium.
