Guest guest
Heidi, You don't have to wait. Go online and find the name of the Director of the Disability Determiner's office in your state. Write a very concise letter to the examiner that you spoke with, asking that all questions be submitted in writing to you. Include the information that you left out during your phone call...like being in ICU when the Celexa was prescribed. CC it to the director of the office, and your Governor's office. Call EVERY day or EVERY other day. Are you filing for Disablity based on Chronic Pancreatitis? If so, I have the EXACT page of the SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY guidelines that apply to your condition. (I have a buddy who is a disability attorney, and she told me where to find it.) I took that info to my husband's doctor, had him read it, and sign a letter attesting that Kurt's conditon fit the criteria. It scares them when you know more about the applicable statutes than THEY do! ( I LOVE intimidation!) Jeanette If you make a LOT of noise, it will help speed things along. Guest guest
Jeannette, I saw your email to Heidi about the SSD criteria for chronic pancreatitis that you said you had and was wondering if you would send me a copy of it as well. I am in the appeal stage of my SSD case and any help I can get would be highly appreciated. They denied my claim initially so I am having to appeal and if I can get that list, I know I can get my doctor to agrre that I meet the criteria. I haven't been able to work since January as the pain and the effects of the pain medication have made it pretty much impossible for me to keep a job. Again, I thank you for any help you can give me. I hope that the this group can help you and your husband deal with all the problems and issues that come up with living with pancreatitis and being a caregiver to someone with it. If I can help in any way, let me know and I'll do my best to do so. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@...
