Jeanette,

I just want to welcome you to our group and to encourage you

and your husband to keep on trying. I understand his bitterness

as I have massive amounts of this towards the doctor who did

this to me (mostly because she does not acknowledge her

responsibility). However, a friend of mine who I saw yesterday at

his oriental medicine clinic told me that anger has an energy link

with the liver (I think that this is how he told it to me). That is,

anger can directly affect the health and workings of the liver /

pancreas and that illnesses in the pancreas / liver causes our

brains to feel anger (it interprets the illness and expresses it as

anger). So it is a vicious cycle, I am understanding. He suggests

that breaking the cycle, may cause the anger to go away and the

liver to heal, or vice versa. I am not sure how to go about

breaking the cycle - if you should first concentrate on healing the

pancreas / liver or redirecting the anger. I would suspect that it

has to be a combination of the two. But I am not sure how this

should be done. I am just starting to look at this philosophy.

I hope that he is willing to work on the bitterness - I have vowed

to try to reduce / eliminate my anger / bitterness too. I am going

to investigate more of this philosophy that my friend mentioned

and see if it can reduce my pain levels and eating phobia.

I know that what you and all of us are going through is so much

more complicated than what I have written, and I know that there

are doctors out there who do more harm than good (the " do no

harm " oath notwithstanding) but because this is a life style

issue, I believe that help managing this may come from some

unexpected or unorthodox places.

Laurie
