Hello everyone,

It has been a while since I last posted for myself, but I have been

dealing with the loss or a person giving up on me. She saw me at my

worst almost three years ago during that major surgery. Now since I

have been diagnosed with CP she doesn't want to be around me or even

have me over.

To give a little bit of background, I basic helped support her when I

was working. I had the best job ever. Just completed my BSc Computer

science. My future was really look great. I was about to start look to

switch from a contract to a permenent employee. Then the surgery. Then

the bankruptcy. Then pancreatitis. Before all of this I was really

there for her both financially and emotionally and I could really talk

about anything with her so it went both ways. I guess I really miss

talking to someone that special.

I also go to NA and have been in recovery for almost 19 years now.

Some of the people there understand. Yet it is hard to talk about the

issues I have had because of all of this.

One great thing is I had to stay with my dad and mom for a whole year.

They saw me during my really bad times. They did not give up.

I guess I really miss that someone you can talk about anything to.

I am doing OK. My pain and nausea have been under control for the last

7 months thanks to a really great doctor.

My diet is the same oatmeal/w resource plus and an occational PBJ. I

have tried some rice every once in a while.

I just want to stay out of the hospital.

I need this I feel a little better.

This disease really does suck thought.

Walt,

I am so sorry you lost your special friend. It always hurts when that

happens. I hope you will find another special friend like that again in

the future. At least you know who will stick with you through thick and

thin, your parents.

As for diet, i know this disease limits a lot of us in what we can eat.

Have you tried mashed potatoes? I have and found them to be very

soothing and low in fat. I buy the one serving instant mash potatoes

cups you can buy in the store, usually with some flavoring, but low in

fat. Another thing I find easy to eat is baby food fruit and cereals

(oatmeal, grains cereals). They are made to be easy on the digestion for

babies and low in fat as well. Just some ideas to possibly give you a

little more variety in your diet. If you've already tried these, sorry

for bringing them up.

I hope you continue to have very little trouble controlling your nausea

and pain like you have been. A good doctor makes all the difference in

dealing with this disease.
