Guest guest
Hello everyone! I've just returned from my holiday and have caught up with all missed messages. It was good to be in contact again. I was especially interested in Mark's contribution on hereditary pancreatitis (which I have). Thank you Mark. Karyn's in-put on coeliac disease was also interesting. I was diagnosed with coeliac disease in 1988. I now know for certain that I have HP but I'm not sure if the coeliac diagnosis was also correct. I'm having to experiment with diet and consult again with my specialist. Like Heidi and others I have osteopenia, which fits with coeliac disease, by the way, but probably also links with CP.....I'm not sure. I have not been told not to take calcium supplements; I must bring that one up with my pancreatic specialist also. Thanks for the info, everyone. Finally, I'm so pleased to hear of the success of the total pancreatectomy op for patients like . Well done! I'm considering this surgery now and am interested to hear from anyone who has had the op. I do realise it is " major " and " radical " so it is a scary thought. Thank you to Amy for getting in touch with me about this. I've sent Amy a separate e-mail now that I'm bck from France. I was also interested in the debate about the " disabled " stickers for cars. I'll let you know if CP qualifies us for a sticker here in England......I'm just about to try for one myself! Again, thanks to everyone and I hope you all keep well and have as much pain-free time as possible. Finally, I will be with you all in spirit who attend the Symposium. I wish I could be there in person! I hope you all get a great deal from the experience and I look forward to hearing all about it! Best wishes, Felicity
