Guest guest
Hi everyone, I am in the process of making an appointment with someone that I know personally that is trained in chinese medicine. I am unfamiliar with the actual process that is involved with this type of treatment but am aware of the basic philosophy of helping the body heal itself. He mentioned accupuncture, herbs and other remedies to try to manage my pain from the sphincter spasms and the colic attacks. I am hoping to see him this week and I was wondering if anyone has any information to share with me that will make my appointment with him more beneficial to me (and are there any precautions I should take concerning my upcoming ERCP?) After a lot of soul searching these last two weeks, I have come to realize that I have a very strong phobia against doctors and therefore engage in hostile behavior (unconscious on my behalf) when interacting with them, which, obviously, doesn't help me get help. This then is self fullfilling prophecy and turns into a viscious cycle (doctors are cruel - I get defensive - doctors are even more inattentive - I get frustrated - etc.....). So any suggestions about what to ask this person in regards to treating chronic pain from SOD and possible pancreatitis is appreciated.
