Guest guest
The sugar in milk is not in the fat; it is in " the rest of it. " That means that we get to have two problems: (and this can be tested for) lactose intol erance to milk, and fat intolerance to milk and butter fats! Whoopee! I would not leap to conclusions, however; you can ditch the powdered milk, which is usually non-fat, therefore high in milk sugars, and have your child tested. Meanwhile, there is Lactaid Milk (the milk sugars are broken down into simpler sugars), and Lactaid tablets to take before consuming milk products. Also, unless it is an ALLERGY to milk, usu ally yoghurt is well tolerated--even frozen if it is really yoghurt. I would suggest not feeling guilty about this; it is often what dieticians do tell us to do! Good Luck to both of you. I would have the child tested for both lactose and/or galactose intolerance and milk allergy! Do this before you do anything else. Some doctors are really good about this!!!!! Love and highest hopes, n Rojas, wcf, who is no doctor, but IS lactose intolerant and has one kid who is lactose intolerant and one who is allergic to it!!!!! kid (not the one wcf) who is
