Guest guest
Heidi and others, Thanks so much for your supportive responses to the good news I posted (about my brother-in-law, Dave finally starting to get better). Really bucked me up I'm going to take the advice in Heidi's post, adapt a bit of the wording to take into account my BIL's personality and send this to Heidi for her approval (off list) before sending it along to Dave, my BIL. This is a technique I've learned from some of my dog friends-- when folks ask for advice (or seem to need it), it's easier for them to read what others have said (experts or people who've been there) rather than hearing someone say " I think should do ...[such & such]. This way they have something to take home with them, to mull over. And something in writing is more neutral, more formal, and probably better expressed than just speaking your mind at a given moment. BTW about my sister (who is so sick), I am NOT entirely happy with the amt. of info I've been getting here at home. I didn't have a problem while I was there, but before and after (533 miles away). If need be, I will get back to you on this communication issue. Obviously, his pancreatitis only makes things more complicated and stressful. Tho, whew, surely it's less so, somewhat, now that he is doing better. Again thanks for your support. And let me know if I can help any of you in return. -- Sally Sally L. Hobson, Ph.
