Guest guest
To all of you. There is one thing that I am very thankful for and that is this site, and the people who are on it. I have learned so much from reading all of your stories. And each of you seem to add information to me to add to my stack of papers that I in turn relay to my daughter. I have found it to be a place to vent my frustrations and at times I may sound extremely reduntant and boring to you, but this has been extremely good for me. I guess I think of it as a way that I can help my daughter, even tho, I never know if any of it does her any good. She will not talk about it to me, so perhaps all i do each day is in vain. At least I have the comfort and reading your stories and knowing that she is not alone in this battle against this dreadful disease. Up until the time she had her first attack and then became so ill, I knew nothing about the pancreas. It was just a word to me, and in telling people around me that is so sick, I see it in their faces now,,,thinking to theirselves, " what is she talking about " . They like me know nothing about it and I think until it hits home that is the way it is for most. A lot of you that writen on here are in the medical field, one way or another, but to the layman, the word pancreas means nothing. It is something taken for granted and we dont need to know anything about it. Sorry, I feel like I have bee rambling here, but I guess it is one of those days for me. My main point in writing this is the fact that I am so glad to have found this group and appreciate each and everyone of you and what you have to say. Thank you,,,,,Jean
