Guest guest Posted August 3, 2003 Report Share Posted August 3, 2003 Hello everyone, Wanted to let ya'll know the latest on Floyd. He went into the hospital last Monday for dehydration, we did not expect to be in more than a couple of days. A nurse at the hospital wound up putting meds thro his feeding tube, which caused it to get plugged! This after being told not to! We stayed at that facility for another 2 days and told them all we wanted was for them to correct the problem they caused. This fell on deaf ears, they starved him and then did not want him to even have sips or chips! He was getting very weak and their solution was a 4 hour surgery! He was in no condition to handle that! I have had him transferred to MUSC, where they have him on IV feedings and will check tomorrow to see if they can fix the feeding tube. Tomorrow marks a week he has been in the hospital! Not sure what we are going to do about the hospital that caused this extended stay yet, any thoughts?
