Paget,

I'm so sorry you are having post op surgery, but that is normal (I've

been through two major surgery so I know how that can be. However, it

is horrible that your doctor isn't treating the pain. I hate doctors

like that. Definitely time to get a new doctor. You have my prayers

that the healing goes well and that your pancreatitis pain goes bye-bye

once the post-op pain is gone. Keep us update on how your recovery goes.

Get as much rest as you can.

As an fyi. do not be surprised if you do have a pancreatic attack in the

next six weeks or so (this is not a guarantee that you will have an

attack of panc in six weeks or so, just a warning of a possiblity of it

occuring). It is the pancreas' response to being worked on and doesn't

necessarily mean that you will have more attacks and that the surgery

didn't work. The pancreas is just responding to being operated on. I had

a case after both my surgeries, even though the second one wasn't on the

pancreas (It was heart surgery), but because it caused swelling in the

abdominal cavity, the pancreas responded to being squished by the swelling.

You have my hopes and best wishes that this takes care of your

pancreatic problems.
