Guest guest
If she has dark circles under her eyes, have the docs done a CT scan of her sinuses? If her sinuses are really infected, they could be the cause of her problems. When Nick was little, he was in and out of the hospital 2-3 times in one month. One dr. finally listened to me about the dark circles being sinus related and ordered a CT scan of Nick's sinuses. The results: Nick's sinuses were so blocked it was amazing, the infection was so bad and chronic, that it competely ate the bone away between his right eye and his ethmoid sinus. Keep in mind, Nick DID NOT show any outward signs like runny nose, or stuffed up nose, or sneezing, it was just the dark circles and my mother's intuition. Nick immediately has sinus surgery, while the doc was in there he also flushed his sinuses with Pulmozyme. Two weeks later when the doc went back in to remove the stints, he found Nick to be completely blocked up again, so he had to completely clean him out once more. Since then, Nick has had 5 sinus surgeries in the last 8 years. If it weren't for my persistence, I'm not sure how much longer the infection would have gone on or how much damage his lungs would have suffered, since your sinuses drain down the back of the throat and some can find its way into your lungs. Anyway, since then all the docs listen to me when I tell them something is not right with Nick. I hope this helps, and offers one possible explanation.
