Your question regarding sex wasn't too blunt and I think its a valid

question.

My pancreatitis seldom interfered with my sexual relationship with my

wife. I think it is important to keep in mind there are many ways to

please your mate. If a person is having pain aggravated by thrusting,

or moving, etc, it would still be very possible for that person to

make love and give pleasure to their partner either by trying

different positions or finding other ways/acts to please the partner.

And of course the person with the pancreas problems could also receive

pleasure without exerting themselves, etc. Where there is a will there

is a way. ;-)

I think also though that loving partners understand when someone may

be too uncomfortable to make love. And it is ok to postpone. The worst

thing a couple could do would be to become stressed over the issue.

Being able to have honest discussions with your mate is really important.

I'm young enough though that if the mood fell upon me or my wife my

drive would distract me from my pain. Sex is a good way to get your

mind off your problems and put the pain in the background. It worked

like that for me.

Here is hoping I haven't responded in an overly blunt fashion.

thanks,

Bert

Henry's Possible Surgery

> Cystoduodenostomy The joining of a cyst to the duodenum

stomach

yesterday that Henry will need surgery in about a month (after trying to

gain weight on TPN). I thought he said cystogastrostomy, but also thought

he mentioned joining the cyst to the duodenum. I e-mailed him to clarify

that, but meanwhile I thought I'd ask the board.
