anyone who has had the pancreas transplant and what it involves and how they are

My daughter has worsening pancreatitis and does not even have a

doctor specializing in this area. I need all the information that I

can get to pass along to her.

She is 33 yrs old and has 2 young children and as far as living

purposes, her life is over, the children do not know what a normal

life is. she has even taken her daughter out of school and is not

sending either of them this coming year as she wants them with her at

all times.....is this normal? I have read and heard that the oldest

child becomes the caregiver and this seems to be the case in this

situation. I would like to know the exact way the pancreas

transplant and islet cell procedure is done and to hear from anyone

who has had it done,,,,thank you,,,Jean Lindley, Indiana
