Guest guest
I will answer the question on snacks at bedtime. As a lot of kids with cf it is hard to fit extra calories into 3 meals a day.We add extra calories which help with the I'm hungry.Rebekah my 5 year old eats 3 meals plus 2 to 3 snacks kind of like mini meals. We found giving a milk shake made with half and half all the extra calories and fat seemed to help with night time snacking.I think you are doing a good job.As far as the vest goes we use it 3 times a day but Rebekah has had a terrible time getting healthy. She will be 6 in 6 days and the last 2 years have been easier she has managed to stay out of the hospital and reasonably healthy. She has had her vest for 3 years.Best Wishes to you and yours.BeckyB. Guest guest
Wow I've never been told to wash the hoses. We have to make the exact same adjustments that you do to make the vest work and the hoses stay in.

We do one to two depending on her health and what kind of activity she did for the day. rarely coughs up anything and her ct scans are always the same. What seems to be the best medicine for that " stopped up " nose? Afrin nasal spray can be used sparingly. A prescribed decongestant if needed. Daily sprays of saline are good too. Hope this helps. - Sally - Mom of : Bri--14--JV cheerleader --12--w/asthma --9--w/cf & ds
