Kaye,

Hi, I think you have responded to one of my posts in the past and you mentioned

you were a medical transcriptionist and I meant to get back with you, but you

know how that goes.

I have been typing for 13 years. My specialty is orthopedics. I think you said

yours was in radiology? I also work from home. I worked in an orthopedic

office until I had my first son 6 years ago and since then I have been working

from home. It is a great thing!!!!!!!! Right now I type Internal Medicine, two

ortho offices, and a podiatrist. I gave up a dermatology account, but might

take it back.

How long have you been on disability? Did you get it from CP alone? Since you

are trying to go back to work, do you lose your disability pay? I hope you

don't mind me asking, but someday I will probably be in the same boat

(disability). I just don't know a whole lot about how it works and I don't want

to do it until it is absolutely a must!!!!!!!!!!

If I could ramble a minute I would appreciate it, (thanks), I have been having

so much trouble eating recently and I am so scared to eat that it is getting

worrisome. I am overweight to begin with, which is probably a good thing, but I

have lost 5 pounds this week. (I was told by my GI specialist in Indiana that

if I got to the point where I couldn't eat they would have to consider a feeding

tube. I don't know anything about that. Right now I live on Boost and/or

Carnation Instant Breakfast). I was in the hospital last week with an attack

that I had been trying to fight on my own for 8 days, but finally couldn't take

it anymore and went to the hospital. I had a great doc who understood the

pancreas very well. In fact, he said to me, " what do you want for

pain? " !!!!!!!!!!!! Hello, you are ASKING me?!! Anyway, I said, I guess

Demerol. I said I know that Toradol doesn't work and do you know what he said

to me!!!!!!!!!!! " Toradol? for pancreatitis? I wouldn't have even offered you

that. " Chalk this up to a " good " ER experience. I also needed a break bad. I

had been struggling for 8 days and he could just see it on my face. The nurse

was on her way in to take my history and he sent her away and said that he would

save me the history taking step because he knew I was sick and needed to be

treated quickly!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll tell you what, I won't ever forget his

name!!!!!!!!!!!!! He did an entire lab work up and everything was ok. He was

concerned about my glucose, potassium, sodium, etc. etc, and so far everything

is normal so I am thankful for that.

Anyway, I didn't mean to ramble, just felt comfortable talking to you, I hope

you don't mind?!!!

Again, sorry for the rambling, but we do have some things in common. It is so

nice to find someone you are comfortable talking with. As a matter of fact, I

think you were the only one who answered one of my posts and you said, " I

noticed that you post went unanswered and you didn't want that to happen. " I

really appreciate that. You sound like a great person. Please keep in touch

and I hope you are doing well. Let me know what is going on with you. I do

care and am interested.

A new friend?

Templin
