Guest guest
It can be difficult with a sibling who does not have cf. The main thing is to answer your child as honestly as possible, to the degree to which they understand. I have a 4 yr gap between my 2, when Connor was born Ainslie kept asking why didn't he have to have physio or enzymes, she also asked it about other children when they were around. I explained to her that she was 'special' and that she needed these things to stay well, if needed said that everyone is special in their own ways. It seemed to help. Ainslie is now 10 1/2 and Connor 6 1/2 nocf has spent more time in hospital than Ainslie. He also seems to get weird and wonderful illnesses/viruses such as shingles or discittis, not common to children. It is all a matter of luck.
