Hi Debbie: I had the stent removed on Monday. Dr. Kalloo at s Hopkins

did both the procedures, and said that my pancreas still looked pretty

inflamed so told me to take it easy. So I have been contently sitting on my

sofa with my puppy for the past two days. I actually could use a few more

days of the same, but had to come back to work sometime. Dr. Kalloo didn't

feel that my duct should continue to develop scar tissue, but it's one of

those things you can't really predict. I have continued to feel fairly

good. I think it's too early to tell if the procedure has helped alot yet.

It's only been a little more than two weeks. I'm still having to take 60

mgs of Oxycontin three times a day, and oxycodone for breakthrough. This is

the most medication I have ever had to take, and Dr. Kalloo definitely wants

to get me off as soon as possible. So, since he's so optimistic, so am I.

My husband and I are going to Baltimore for fun this weekend, instead of to

visit the hospital. It's nice to look forward to going away, and actually

probably will be in good enough shape to have a good time! You might want

to check with your doctor if another ERCP might be in order for you too!

Have a great weekend...Hugs...Robin
