Guest guest
Thanks to both of you for your well wishes. I finished the MRCP yesterday and await the results. I probably won't hear anything until next week. No one warned me about that awful concoction that you have to drink before this procedure....YUCK! While they said it was " supposed to have a chocolate flavor " , it seemed more like drinking cold, milky charcoal or something. It was absolutely repungent. I had also foolishly forgotten how cold imaging rooms are kept, and was dressed only in summer weight pants, a long sleeved t-shirt and clogs, and the MRI room was probably 50 at best. In spite of two blankets tucked around me, I shivered so hard for the first couple scans that they had to do them over. The whole procedure took longer than I had expected, over 30 minutes, and I began feeling signs of claustrophobia after about 15 minutes, and began feeling anxious, panicky and kept wanting to move my legs and hands. But I managed to make it through and practically ran out of the building to get some warm air......no lengthly good-byes for me! Although it was 80 outside, I ran to the car and sat there with the heater on for a few minutes. Glad that's over! Maybe I'll be test-free for a couple weeks. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
