Thx Poncho Hi Craig, From my experience, and generally the experiences of many others on this board over a long time, consuming any alcohol can and most likely cause major problems to anyone with a damaged pancreas. If an immediate attack results from alcohol consumption, that would certainly be cause to recognize the connection. In any case, any further damage to an already damaged or malfunctioning pancreas, has significant long term consequences. You must recognize that you only have one pancreas and you need it to try to live a life as best as you can. To not have a pancreas or a further damaged pancreas causes major lifestyle changes. So, I strongly suggest avoiding any alcohol, enjoy the act of being with others, but just abstain from the liquor. This is really easy to do if you just accept that you are making this change in your life and that's that. Once you decide to make that change, even if it's just for now, then there is no " social " pressure that will affect you. I hope you are having a good day and you have my Best wishes, Poncho - GA
