Guest guest
, I am glad that you remembered to come back to ask questions. The progression of your pain is relatively typical for Chronic Pancreatitis. My pain no longer is that substernal burning, but radiates to the back and down toward the kidneys. Mine is like basic low back pain, but severe. My pain doctor feels like I have neuropathic pain pathway involvement and that is why it seems to radiate out from the spinal nerves. It is good that you are having a CT scan so you can see how much involvement there is, calcification, cysts, necrosis, atrophy. This is absolutely a painful disease. I don't feel that anyone should be a martyr. Anyone who is in pain should seek relief. Stay in touch, Karyn , RN Founder / Executive Director http://www.pancassociation.org 1- / KarynWms@...
