Hi Lori,

Masks are provided for pwcf at our clinic, but I

don't think it is mandatory for them to wear them.

It is required if they are culturing a bug that is

hard to treat with antibiotics, or if they have an

active cold, virus or infection. There are quite

a few variations in the way cross-infection guidelines

are handled. Other clinics appear to have stricter

practices than ours, but I'm sure there are clinics

that are more lax as well.

Still, my kids will find a way around any guidelines

in place anyway. The last time they went to the

vampires' lab, I caught Alli licking the glass doors

separating the blood draw room from the office area.

I almost had a heart attack! Of course she came down

with a bug soon afterwards. You'd think a kid with

an oral aversion would want to keep her tongue in her

mouth! Sheesh!

Anyway, thanks for responding and the suggestion! I'll

give it a shot. I have a feeling that they'll be

pulling them off eachother and throwing the masks

around the room - giggling the whole time!

Thanks!
