Guest guest
Cystic fibrosis, as better medical care is being obtained in some parts of the world, is being found increasingly in groups that were heretofore not thought to have it; part of this came to light when the gene was dis covered. Rather more common in the Mediterranean world and the Middle East than we have been lead to believe. Moreover, as we in termarry, partner up, move about the world, this very old gene sees its possibilities in most any population, though, admittedly less in Japan. Also, in medically underserved populations, the disease has been even more often underdiagnosed than in the industrialized nations. I think we must all prepare to be inclusive, as the gene itself is. Love to all at cfparents, n Rojas
