Guest guest
Bev, No it didn't offend me at all. I have a hide like a Rhino LoL. is lying in their with both of them reading them a story at the moment. I do try and put him in there, then the getting up for a drink, toilet, anything really. I will try it tonight and see how it goes. Thanks for your advise. Re: starting school year & Sleeping problems There actually are doctors and psychologists who are advocates of a family bed. It seems to me that each family must make this decision for themselves and not worry about what people outside their family (including doctors) think. There are always going to be disagreements about ways to parent. Lori in Florida starting school year & Sleeping problems My two babies went back to school today for the new year Yippee! My house was so quite and I was able to get all the house work done by 11am. Eilish walked into her class like she owned it. One of the new mum's said " she's not new is she " . She has already done 6 months in there and now she does this year as well. She got a certificate for being a helper to the new kids. Liam also had a lovely day. He had 1 hour of home work so that was a shock for me. Does anyone have a problem getting their child/children to go to bed and stay in bed at night? Eilish goes of fine, but Liam Grrr!. Last night he was up and down for 2 1/2 hours. There is always a lot of tears, and the usual " your so mean, you don't love me " things. Liam has always been a boy who loves sleeping with me. I am trying to get him into his own bed but its so hard. He's got me wrapped around his finger. If he cries I usually give in as I don't like to see him upset. But tonight I am really at my wits end as to what to do to make him stay there. That's why he wont sleep at anyone's house as 'mummy' isn't there to crawl in with. Of course I love him cuddling in with me, but I think at 8 1/2 I need to at least try to make him sleep in his own bed. Was my fault as I started it from 11 months old, so its pay back time now. Guest guest
I am so glad you feel better now. I knew all would be better quickly. So many folks have done things like that. We are such busy folks. YES, I could tell you were organized by all the things you do accomplish.....all the time. Have a super weekemd.....happy Valentines Day. LOVE & HUGS, grdmBEV forgetful Today I did the most forget thing. Forgot to organise the After School Care to pick the kids up. Its the first time they have been and I totally forgot to call her back to say yes pick them up today. So I am 1 hour away at work when at 1.30pm it pops into my head that I had forgotten. The cut of point we thought was 12pm. I phoned and couldn't get through, my mum was out, was with clients. I finally found another school mum to take them to her house. I have never ever done that, mind you they haven't been there before, my family members usually get them. Now I know I am getting old, Alzheimer's. Hope I am not the only one who has forgotten their kidsLoL.
Guest guest
Bev, Do I have baby books! Ha! I have archives boxes, no kidding. They have a school memories book each that has question to fill out e.g. favourite friend etc. for each year and pockets for drawings etc. I also have every single school book of Liam's and kindy stuff since he started 5 years ago. I also will keep all of Eilish's. I have the 1st toothbrush, cap, clothes, school uniform, in fact everything you could imagine. Liam writes letters to people like Harry Potter, or Pete, from Pete's Dragon, the Schaliniski's from Honey I Shrunk the kids. Well he puts them in our letter box thinking the mail man picks them up and posts them. Well I pick them up and have kept every one of them they are really cute. He asked the Schalinski's could he come there and be shrunk in the holidays LoL. I hope he will love all this when he is bigger. Luckily we have loads of room for storage. Did you keep you kids stuff? Re: Rosemary Were they REAL snakes???????????????? Rosemary from New York with 3 children with CF - they are 12.5, 10, 6...... Guest guest
Dear , You always think of the neatest -even though this was simple for them to do ......THINGS for your kids & family interaction.!! I love it.......... maybe the screaming might not work so good. I like the picture kissing better:) Golly , they are sure going to want him to go away more often , if he is loaded with presents upon his return.... they might pack his suitcase for him :) --just kidding . have a super day ....and hopefully week. LOVE & HUGS, grandmomBEV update left for Thailand early yesterday. As yet I haven't heard from him. The kids got up at 6am so I could get everything ready for school this morning. usually does the physio, so I am hating that. Yesterday I spent the day ironing school uniforms so there was enough for the whole week. We were so organised today that I have even had time to come on-line before school. Next week may be a different story. On Friday night we are going to the Make-A-Wish Ball. Then we are staying in a 5 star hotel. It will be so nice. Guest guest
Bev, I went to the hairdressers today. We were joking that I needed a new cut in case there was any cute young dr's. I said how I often tell that its lucky he has sound a loud, rumbly car as I can hear him two streets away and can get my boyfriends out the door before he gets here. (Australia) update on Eilish Eilish has been very well. She has to have a liver scan on Tuesday (with IV dye) to check how long it takes for the liver to excrete it. I am also going into hsp. on Monday for a operation and will be there 3 days or so. Gee it will be so hard having no physio to do! Having food brought to me! Lying in bed watching TV!, Can I stay a week LoL! Have a nice weekend everyone. (Australia)
