Guest guest
Dear , I can commiserate with you about having a full plate of doctor's appointments and procedures after going through so much of the same these last three months. But the prospect of doing all this is a positive step forward to getting yourself relief from all your pancreatic problems, and you should feel very encouraged to have this progress to look forward to. Just take it one step, one day, at a time, and the months will pass quickly. I would imagine having part of your stomach removed is no small procedure and that will probably take some time to heal, before you can go further toward a pancretectomy. But don't lose sight of your goals. We'll be here, watching your progress and offering our support each step of the way. I'm impressed with how quickly everything seems to be falling into place for you. Good luck! With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina Regional Rep. PAI, Intl. He seems like one teriffic doctor!!! I definately have chronic pancreatitis and that eventually I will have either part or all of my pancreas removed, but we need to address a few other things first. May 7th, get a low carb., low fat, high protein diet. May 13th, I am scheduled to see Dr. Lake at the University of Minnesota. He will do my ERCP (I'm not sure when). May 27th, I am scheduled to see my family doctor....to handle my pain meds. until I can get into the pain clinic. June 10th, I am scheduled to see Dr. Sutherland again, to go over what was done with Dr. Lake. July 16th, I am scheduled to see Dr. Buchwald at the University of Minnesota as I need to have part of my stomach removed. Today I had an appt. with my family doctor. He said that Dr. Sutherland had called him and discussed my treatment. He also changed my pain meds...... today he changed it to oxycontin. it looks like my summer will be full of Dr. appts., surgeries, my vegetable garden and the family reunion that we are hosting for my husbands side of the family.... in Minnesota
