Water is so cheap that it's cost is virtually nothing. I firmly believe that while water likely will not prevent an episode attack of chronic panc. it will help lessen the attack and make recovery easier. Think of any " trauma " situation, water is usually administered intravenously, to help keep the BP up, to lessen the advent of " shock, " to stabilize the patient, etc. And maybe it's an easy and affirmative way that we can contribute actively to our health. It is mentally better to know we are doing something positive rather than just waiting around waiting for this disease to get worse or strike, and that doing something, however small, is better than doing nothing.
