Guest guest
Dear Jeannine, Thanks for the information about SSI. I'm still in the collecting stage at this point, but nearly finished. I planned on having all the medical records, reports and letters in hand before I call for the interview. That's excellent advice about letters as to my before and after health and activities, but since I'm self-employed, I really can't call upon anyone but friends and family, since there's no boss, and no co-workers, unless my cats count....lol! They watch me while I'm working all the time, and even help out by lying on my drawings or trying to climb up on the drawing board for a closer inspection. I have an MRCP scheduled for Thursday morning, just finished my bone density scan yesterday and all the new endo bloodwork, (Hemoglobin A1C and a CSA....whatever that is) were done today. I want the results of all of these in hand, too, before the interview. Thanks for your help. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina Southeastern Representative PAI, Intl. Note: All advice or comments are personal opinion only, and should not be substituted for professional medical consultation I do know I have heard of tales of PI's following people around when they have a disability application on file to see if they do stupid things like plant trees, play volleyball, or give piggy back rides to their kids when they are claiming a back injury. I can only imagine they have ways of checking to see if you flew. If you don't already have letters from people who knew you before you were sick and can testify to the level of pain and disability you have now, start getting them now so you will have them collected before you need them....from your former boss, your former coworkers, family and friends who can say the activities you were once able to accomplish but can't anymore.
