Guest guest
Heidi...I cannot address this exact question but I do know I have heard of tales of PI's following people around when they have a disability application on file to see if they do stupid things like plant trees, play volleyball, or give piggy back rides to their kids when they are claiming a back injury. I can only imagine they have ways of checking to see if you flew. I know my girlfriend had to answer some pretty stiff questions from the Soc Sec judge about her " vacation " plans to Florida when what she had done was fly down to see the specialists at Mayo in Central Florida. She chose that one because she could stay with her brother and not have to pay for a hotel bill on top of the rest of her bills. Soc Sec's job is to see to it that nobody gets their disability benefits...especially in someone as young as Kimber...this is the word I get from the girls in my support group and the things they have had to deal with... They also outright deny something like 90% of the first time filers and an equally large number of second time files trying to wear folks down...just be prepared for the rejection notice and have things already lined up to send in to them so that you can get it back in the mail really fast. If you don't already have letters from people who knew you before you were sick and can testify to the level of pain and disability you have now, start getting them now so you will have them collected before you need them....from your former boss, your former coworkers, family and friends who can say the activities you were once able to accomplish but can't anymore.
