Guest guest
Kimber, Your comment about not being able to attend the symposium this year because you can't fly without endangering your disability application intrigued me. Where did you learn this, that the SSDI thinks that if you can fly, you can work? IMHO this is a proposterous assumption! What about all the medically challenged people who fly from one place to another for surgery appointments at larger hospitals hundreds of miles away from their home? And how would they know if you flew, anyhow? I don't want you to think I'm attacking you, because I'm not at all. I just think this is a stupid assumption by the Social Security Disability Board and would like to know more about how you learned about it and how one's flying activity could be monitored. Please clue me in, if you can. I've never heard of anything so ridiculous! (grin) With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina Southeastern Representative PAI, Intl. Guest guest
Heidi, I was toldt the problem with traveling, particularly flying, fom my lawyer, who deals soley with diability cases. Yes, he said it was a stupid assumption on the part of SSD, but that they will use any excuse to deny you. I don't want to take the chance that I'll be denied for such a stupid reason. I have no idea how they would find out I traveled anyway, but they do track people in cases of possible fraud, so who knows. Hmmm, maybe I'll contact my lawyer again just to find out how they monitor this. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@...
