Guest guest
Dear Andy, After what's happened to me, I've developed a tendency to err on the side of caution, but an appointment with your doctor to discuss this and have him test you would seem like a good proactive decision. You said that you haven't been feeling too well anyhow, so that alone would be a good reason to see your doctor. There could be another reason entirely why you would test low, but it would be sensible to let your doctor know of this and let him know that because of your chronic pancreatitis, you plan to be diligent in monitoring yourself for the possible onset of diabetes. Any conscientious physician should applaud you for your sensibility in this matter and be willing to support you with the necessary testing. Please don't accept a doctor's reassurance that " it's too early, you don't need to worry about this yet " , because we know now that it can happen to some people much sooner than anticipated. I'd rather see you be tested a dozen times with negative results than once with positive, Andy. I hope that you will act upon this and find out so you can set your mind at rest. BTW, any word from your son and brother? Any news on when they will be coming home? With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina Southeastern Representative PAI, Intl.
