staying home for the first two years or more of college

Our youngest, wcf, went two years to a local community college, and

then announced that " It is time for me to grow up, " and marched off

to a college in another state on a BIG scholarship. I refrained from the

reply that crossed my mind as a mother, in consideration of her father's

and my husband's passing just one year before--but the obvious cer

tainly did cross my mind. I had gone to a residential four-year under

graduate school near my favorite cf center!!
