Heidi,

I have a question for you, what test(s) did you have to determine the

existance and condition of your pseudocysts?

I had a huge one in 1994 and it burst almost extinguishing my time on

this planet. Since then, my GI has had so much trouble getting a

good look at my pancreas, let alone my cyst. We tried multiple

ERCPs, CT scans, etc. My pancreas is sooo sensitive that when the

Dr. even gets close to it with the guidewire (ERCP) my pancreas

explodes into severe acute pancreatitis. I have had so many ERCPs

that they can't do them anymore. I have developed an " over active

gag reflex " . Vomiting has increased because of this. Also, CT scans

are known to be inconclusive regarding the pancreas. Sometimes the

radiologist or my dr can get a peek but their view is not clear due

to swelling, fluid around the pancreas and other organs swelling.

Any advice?

I am sorry to hear that you are feeling down today. I, too, am going

through an " episode " (we call it an 'episode' because 'attack' sounds

so negative. We also use the word 'symptomatic' instead of 'sick'

for the same reason. I think it helps my family psychologically.)

Do you have any liver troubles? I feel swollen there and am getting

sharp stabbling pains for the past few days. I can hardly bend or

turn today because my abdominal and back muscles are so sore from the

frequent charlie horses. My husband says I look yellow again. Let

me know.

Hang in there today. Even though we never met or talked, my heart

goes out to you. And I am grateful to hear that I am not alone with

the ups and downs of living hour to hour with our diagnosis.

I am sending you good thoughts and prayers. Take care of yourself

first!

Sincerely,
