Guest guest
Hi Angie. I don't know about the yawning but try this website http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003096.htm don't know if it will help. But I would say the second theory with lack of O2 as the cause. Not heart problem. Could be a faze too. Question about yawns My almost 3 year old son is in excellent health. He gets 2 cpt treatments a day and does pulmozyme once a day. He very rarely coughs. About 1 or 2 weeks ago he started yawning a lot. Just out of the blue. He will stop whatever he is doing and yawn a great big yawn and then go back to whatever he was doing. His sleep habits have not changed, so he should be getting plenty of rest. Until this started I don't remember ever seeing him yawn. It just seems a little strange and I wondered is it means he isn't getting enough oxygen. He just had a clinic visit a few weeks ago and his lungs sounded great. Oh, and just the last fews days he has been clearing his throat a lot. Any ideas? Guest guest
Yawning is the brains way of getting more oxygen .Have him take ten deep breaths and see if it makes the yawns go away for awhile.I used to have a science teacher in high school who would for his first class of the day stand and yawn until he had everyone in class yawning he told us it was the laugh of his day to see all those high spirited and energetic kids yawning as they left his class. He also kept his class warm for the same reason.BeckyB. Just out of the blue. Yawning is one of my symptoms that my sinuses are acting up. Sometimes it is the only symptom, which is pretty weird. The throat clearing could be PND. - Sally - Mom of Bri 14 JV All star amazing best cheerleader 12w/asthma 9w/cf & ds
