Hello all,

I have a question for anyone. I have Severe Chronic Pancreatitis and

SOD. I am about 25 pounds overweight and have been trying like heck

to lose this weight for the last 3 1/2 months. I walk on my treadmill

for an hour a day at a 10% incline and burn 650 calories a day for 5-6

days a week. That means at the least I should be burning 1 pound a

week, but NOTHING is coming off. I have even gained 4 pounds! Of

course I am on a low fat diet along with a low calorie diet. I have

lost some inches, but it's the weight I want to see come off,

especially if I should turn diabetic unexpectidly.

Thats my history. Here's the question. I am SERIOUSLY considering

taking a diet pill without effedra of course, to help speed up my

matabolism. Can't figure out why else I wouldn't be losing a pound in

3 1/2 months otherwise, if it's not my metabolism. I am concerned that

this might cause pancreatic attacks or efect my pancreas. My GP says I

shouldn't put anything like that in my body because of my condition

and my specialist keeps telling me to cut my calorie intake to 800 a day.

I don't think the human body can live healthy on 800 calories a day.

But thats me. Has anyone else had a weight problem with pancreatitis?

Have you taken weight loss pills? Have you had trouble losing

weight? I am SO SO SO tired of all the excersising. Literally. I

don't know if I can go on the way I have been for one more day. The

exhaustion is starting to take it's toll. But I despratly want to

lose some weight.

Of course I have pain when I wake in the morning from the excersizing

the day before, but it generally goes away for a few hours when I

start excersizing again. Then just lets me know it's back throughout

the day. I have tried doing 300 sit ups a day to flatten the tummy

(with the ab machine) and haven't lost an inch in my stomache. Did

this for 1 month faithfully. Could this be the pancreas at work too?

I'll take all the advice anyone wants to give.

Thanks,

Sandy
