Guest guest
Hello everyone! I just joined this list not too long ago. I see quite a few people from Iowa on the list. I am writing from Dallas Center, IA (just 20 minutes west of Des Moines). Where is everyone else from? My has CF and she is 4. She cultured pseudo last clinic and is on colistin and cipro. yuck! Her intestine ruptured in utero and thank goodness for a emergency csection (due my failure to dialate) or we both would have been injured or worse.... After a blood test - wala! CF entered our lives *ggggrrrrrrr!* We did a little procedure called PGD to conceive our next child. She will be born in May with NO CF! Yay! Of course, you all know how us CF parents think... " yeah, but something else could go wrong... " Anyway, I will try not to worry too much and just enjoy while the little girl is kicking around inside of me. We go to the University of Iowa. I have two daughters with CF and one that does not. They are 10 w/CF, 8wo/cf, and 5 w/CF. My oldest was 6 when she was diagnosed and my youngest was just a year old when CF entered our life's YUCK! I am so glad that this PGD is offered now because at least you have some kind of alternative to having a healthy baby. Deb A

Guest guest
Hi , thanks for introducing yourself to the list! With all those newbies on the list recently I wished that more would write at least a short intro. I totally agree about the fears of us CFparents about what can go wrong with a new baby. When you have " hit the jackpot " once, every rare but possible problem seems to wait just around the corner. Here is hoping for the both of us that we worry without reason.
